Success Stories – Testimonial for First Page Ranking White Hat SEO Experts
success stories, SEO expert advice, help, how to improve google ranking,
One main student Colin, has been asking me for a few years to coach and mentor him to Make Money Online, and I finally relented last week. If you’ve ever tried to get any real one-on-one time with an experienced Online Marketer, you will appreciate how rare this is.
Now although I get a buzz from seeing that light-bulb moment in the student’s eyes, I haven’t actually offered any coaching in the last three years, and I’ve been focusing on my own results and enjoying my time and location freedom.
So not many people are prepared to invest as much as Colin in one-on-one coaching, and it occurred to me that we could help lots of others by allowing them to follow along as we go through the process from scratch, with the aim of achieving a six-figure annual recurring income online.
We are aiming to reach the stage of being able to generate six figures per annum recurring, and will also be covering outsourcing and leverage in order to free up as much personal time as possible.
Your input into the closed facebook group will be invaluable too, as you’ll all be able to bounce ideas and brainstorm with other like-minded individuals.
I just thought I would check out yet another random email I received from another would-be ‘SEO expert’ and I spotted that her title on Linkedin was as a “UK Local SEO Consultant” so I thought I would check out her website and her own inbuilt SEO, and especially I like to look for Proof of Results… after all, if you’re going to claim that you can Dominate Google’s Natural Search Results, you’ve gotta have at least some proof to back up your claims right?
How do you get your website found online?
Let’s be honest, nobody scrolls to page 40 to find your search results these days, instead we will simply change our search keyword phrase and try again…
And what about Google Image of Google Video searches?
I guess it’s likely that a smaller percentage of your ideal clients are likely to search the video or image results, but nevertheless, these areas should not be overlooked…
I heard recently that youtube alone has more than 72 HOURS of video being uploaded every single MINUTE… that is simply absurd… that means it would take a lifetime to watch all the video that is being uploaded in ONE DAY!!
And the irony here, is that video is STILL the fastest method of DOMINATING the Google search results if SEO’d properly at the outset!
And with the ever-increasing popularity of instagram (now owned by facebook, and with fabulous filters built-in), Pinterest and snapchat, the visual stimulation and being found on Google images is even more important!
Most of us prefer not to read text, but to look at images (remember; a picture paints a thousand words) and video gives us even more content for our senses…
And of course, with more than 90% of the first-world population now owning a smart phone, and being ever-addicted to staring at screens, we MUST ensure that out images, videos and webpages are mobile-friendly too… indeed Google have now confirmed that they are no longer indexing websites that are NOT mobile-friendly… see my article here; http://1st-page-ranking.com/mobilegeddon/
If you’re ready to be noticed online NOW, send me a message for more info.
Search Google for “Above All Natural Results”

What to look for in a SEO expert company selling their Search Engine Optimization and SEM services 2016
I guess like most business owners, I receive lots of emails offering to help ME with my own SEO, and this one got through my tight spam-filter because they actually went to the effort of filling out the form on my website, so I thought I would check them out and talk you through a little of the thought-process en-route.
It does fascinate me that someone selling SEO services would actually approach another SEO company… Personally I can never see the merit in helping my competitors achieve higher rankings than my own business, but then so far 100% of the approaches I’ve received have been from companies who are less successful than their own competitors at getting noticed on the First Page of Google, and it’s easy to see why.
Personally, I generated my First Income Online two years before Google even started, and I’ve NEVER been adversely affected by any of their updates designed to weed out the chaff… and the reason for this, is that I’ve always been fascinated by the algorithms, and to me it always makes perfect sense…
If you think about it all logically from the point of view that Google is essentially a piece of software analysing millions of web content, including; webpages, images, videos, news items, publicity, blog posts, maps, reviews, testimonials, updates and amendments, Press Releases etc etc – Google is not just a bunch of employees randomly checking content, but it IS a clever algorithm that tries to take into account as many variables as possible, and put some weighting to the importance of each eg. is the page title more important than the number of Social shares?
If you were responsible for programming the Google algorithm, how would you choose to rank and rate the importance and hierarchy of each factor? eg. is the length of time a visitor stays on the page as important as those that click to a link as a result? and is a hyperlink to an internal page or post as important (or more important) than an external site link? and should the relevance or authority of that external site be a factor? (how long they’ve been established, how many posts they have, is this the same niche or generic such as facebook) etc.
If all of these factors are important, then what percentage weighting would you attribute to each?
Ultimately Google want to ensure that they are still the number one search engine of choice for online businesses as well as offline businesses, but if we type into a browser search “Cafe Princes Street Edinburgh” and the first three results are for Cafes which are no longer in business, you would soon stop using that Search Engine… so logically-thinking, how can a piece of software establish if a business owner is still actively seeking business in that same niche?
Now it’s true that the majority of websites don’t change their Home page, or the ‘about us’ or ‘contact’ or ‘location’ or even ‘Terms and Conditions’, ‘FAQs’ or ‘Profile’ images etc, so how does Google software know that you’re still actively in business and seeking to attract new custom?
The ‘logical’ answer is that there actually a number of key indicators that can help…
If you want any help in being found at the top of the Google natural searches, just give me a shout (send PM and I’ll respond as promptly as poss)

How to DOMINATE the First Page of Google
Well firstly, let me just reaffirm, that even if + when you DO find your way onto that elusive Page One of Google natural organic search results, that does NOT guarantee that you’ll get any more sales as a result.
However as in anything, it’s a numbers game, and the more footfall you have visiting your website, the higher your chances of more sales… which ultimately is the whole point in having any web exposure right?!
I have a friend who lives in Central London, smack in-between Covent Gardens and Leicester Square, which is an AWESOME location but soooo damn noisy at all hours of the day. I’ve stayed there many times, and I really don’t know how he manages to sleep amongst all that hubbub that is happening all through the night and day.
When I stay, I sleep with my earplugs in, and still I seem to hear all the sirens, bin lorries, glass collection, delivery trucks, drunks staggering home etc.
One day, we were having lunch outdoors & I commented to him that his corner has more footfall / visitors in an hour than I do passing my home in ten years… I later reflected that actually he probably has more passing bodies in one MINUTE than I would see in ten years passing my home… wowoweee!
So no matter what you are trying to sell, if you get in front of enough people, sooner or later you’re going to make sales… which is one of the reasons site like Amazon and eBay are so successful… because they have millions of items listed for sale at any one time, and they have millions of visitors to the site every day, therefore the sellers succeed & they are more likely to re-list a new item, and so the circle continues.
You may have heard of the Google algorithm and the aire of mystique surrounding it, as it seems no-one really knows exactly what counts and to what degree, so I always simply go by Logic.
As it happens, I generated my First Income Online two years before Google even started, so I’ve always been interested in staying at the cutting edge of technology and working out how to be found online, and to my mind, it’s all just logical.
Google Wants To Remain The Number One Search Engine.
Google has already become the number one search engine in most of the civilised first-world countries, and they wish to continue that outstanding position.
So one of the primary questions they want to keep asking themselves is;
Q. How do we ensure that we continue to give the most relevant results to the keyword search phrases?
and the answer has always revolved around TWO key elements;
A. Relevance and Authority
Hackers and Updates
Inevitably there are always going to be some smarty-pants hackers who want to cheat the system, and hence Google has come out with various updates such as Panda, Hummingbird, Penguin…
This has resulted in thousands of websites being reassessed and downgraded, and many would-be Internet-Marketers losing their ill-gotten income, which was often in the region of tens of thousands of dollars per day.
This may not be as stupid as it first appears…
Statistics show that more than 80% of businesses do not survive beyond the first five years, and then more than 80% of those survivors do not last beyond the next five years.
So if I search Google for a “Cafe in Leith Edinburgh” today, I want Google to show me LIVE results of businesses that are still actively IN business, and not show me results that are out-of-date…
So how does any search engine know that your business is still actively seeking customers attention?
Well this question is always going to be a tricky one for a piece of software to answer… or so you would think…
Until you start to think about the logistics…
Reviews, Citations, Webpage Updates.
Reviews: If a member of the public completes an online review via one of the major review sites (Yelp, Google, TripAdvisor), then whether it’s a good or bad review, the chances are that the review is relevant and topical.
Citations: A citation is essentially confirmation of business contact details. There are many Directory sites available to the business owner to add their own details. Most directories are free to add the basic information, although they may charge for extras such as being able to add images or more categories.
Webpage Updates: If the business website or blog is updated regularly, this is a sure sign that the business is actively seeking new customers. Stagnant or out of date businesses are unlikely to be adding or editing data on their website.
Of course, most websites have “static” webpages, that are not regularly updated, and if you think about it, the majority of the main pages don’t consist of data that requires updating, such as;
Home page, About Us, Location, Contact
Even Products, Shop and Gallery are sometimes not updated frequently.
Regular Blog Updates
So that leaves us with the option of creating and adding regular blog updates.
In today’s world, that is easy to achieve. Google even owns a blog site called blogger.com, and you can connect your main website directly to that, so what other excuses do we have?
Well I guess if you don’t want to do something, you’ll always find yet another excuse.
Note; I don’t ask you to commit to a daily, weekly or even monthly blog post… I deliberately use the word “regular“, and you get to decide on the frequency without over-committing to it.
There are more SEO guidelines (I don’t call them rules) to ensure that your blog posts are also noticed by Google, and ideally positioned on the very First Page of the natural search results, and I will cover this in another post.
Meanwhile if you simply commit to adding one new blog post or update a page on the website, maybe once per month, you would have another twelve unique URLs for Google to index and point towards your main site.
There is software that will automatically create a blog post for you, BUT ultimately you have to remember that this is YOUR reputation, and you have worked all of your life to build on that, so I always recommend that you keep your integrity intact and never resort to anything that may later come back and bite you on the bum.
So in Summary
Google want to ensure that they are consistently producing results that are the most relevant to the Keyword Search Phrases, and in 2016, it has become even more important that the results most definitely includes businesses that are actively IN business and seeking new customers… so all you as the business owner needs to do, is UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE on occasion…
Some of these factors can be immediately addressed by you, whereas there are other factors that you really can’t do much about, such as the Age of your Domain or the Ranking of an external website that may be linking to you.

It’s so annoying when you’re trying to run a business & have to filter through hundreds of junky, spammy emails every day, and that’s without even opting into any internet marketing sales pages & autoresponder series.
The reason that you are receiving so many junk spam emails, is because you have a hyperlinkable email address within your webpages…
I first discovered this around 15 years ago, when I was busy building old-fashioned html webpages & in amongst those, I built one that had an email address at the bottom of the page with something like; email@example.com
There are a number of names for ‘them’. Effectively it’s a simple piece of software that trawls through your webpages to find external links to other websites & that includes finding hyperlinkable email addresses.
It is actually exactly what Google does!!
Google likes to be known as the number one search engine, and one of the factors within their ranking algorithm, is calculating how many external websites are actually recommending YOUR website, by having links (known as backlinks) pointing towards your website.
There are a number of further considerations in here, such as the number that have your full URL including http:// and the number that use your keywords as the ‘anchor text’**, and those that use random words such as ‘click here’ with the underlying link pointing to your website.
We also want links from external sites pointing to our pages or blog posts, and not just to the main website. This indicates natural ‘liking’ and recommending of your content.
And Social Sharing to specific pages or posts within your site, are now deemed to be highly influential too.
**Anchor text; is the main keywords that you want your webpage to be associated with, and any hyperlinkable website links, linking from those anchor text phrases, are deemed by search engines, to be highly important & relevant.
It’s a good thing to have your website included in local business directories & indeed I also own a number of local directories to allow local businesses to add their own content & links to their own websites.
I also now own a number of clever pieces of software that do exactly the same task as Google… these ‘Bots’ or ‘Spiders’ or ‘Robots’ work by scanning directory sites such as Yelp, Manta and Yellow Pages, and strip out the business email addresses.
I can then send emails to specific business types in specific areas, knowing that they WILL get through to the appropriate desks & email relevant recipients.
Would you like to tap into my ‘bot that will find the exact email addresses you need for your business?
If you would like a list of thousands of email address of your target market businesses in specific geographic areas, just ask me via my contact form.
Well unfortunately, there’s not a lot you can do about the fact that there may now be many lists out there with your email address & indeed they may be selling these lists to other marketers…
However, you can reduce the ever-increasing number of spam emails, simply by looking at your own webpages (I’ve seen many websites add an email link on more than one page), indeed many of the larger corporations including your local newspaper, have a whole list of email addresses for you to contact the right department, and all of those are also hyperlinkable… All you need to then do, is remove the hyperlink within the coding… with wordpress this is easy done, but simply editing the page/post and click on ‘unlink’ button within the email address.
With old-fashioned html or php pages, all you need to do, is again remove the hyperlinkable element and/or add a space into the email address, so that the visitor actually has to work at sending you an email… eg. mike @ 1st-page-ranking.com
> as you can see; you can also underline and make the text blue, so it stands out as an email address, but the spiders won’t automatically pick it up, and the user has to physically edit it in order to send you a message.
Will this hurt your business? Seriously do you think that having your email address as immediately hyperlinkable versus the client having to do a little work in order to send the email, will affect your business?? Personally I’d rather have that challenge, than the potentially thousands of junk emails received daily.
All you need to do; is add a contact form into your website, that will automatically send an email to the correct email address within your company, and maybe even add a ‘thank you’ acknowledgement message immediately to the sender, and maybe even then automatically send them to a ‘salespage’ or free gift page. This means that your valid email address is not shown anywhere on the website & the spiders can’t find it, but potential customers can still communicate via the relevant contact form.
I hope that helps you.
